Ep.1 RC: Quest for Fire
Tribes have a short amount of time to toss food off the sailing ship, and get it to their boat. (Meanwhile, Ryan finds the Super Idol on the ship.) After Probst rings the bell, tribes must get in their boats, paddle to shore, and light a torch from a 15-foot high wok. Healers are first, lift Roark; Heroes second, lift Chrissy. Hustlers are far behind, paddling poorly. Healers win a bonfire and large fire-making kit. Heroes are second, win flint.
Ryan finds super-idol.

| Day 3
Ep.1 IC: Tracks of My Tears
Tribes must race over a cargo net, haul up a cart, ride it down a track. After crashing into the sawdust, first tribe (Heroes) selects their table maze (from three options), then second (Hustlers), then third (Healers). After hauling the table maze up a huge staircase (Ashley, Alan; Cole, Joe; Ryan, Lauren), two people (Mike, Desi; Chrissy, Ben; Devon, Ali) work their table mazes, first to three balls placed wins. All tribes place two, then Healers win. After a tight race, Hustlers just beat Heroes. Ryan sends the Super Idol to Chrissy after the challenge.
TC1 - Katrina voted out (5-1), 17 left.
| Day 4
| Day 5
After discovering the Healers' idol clue carved into a tree trunk, Joe enlists Cole's help in deciphering it. Cole correctly directs them to a spot near the water well, and both dig. Joe finds the idol. Cole later destroys the clue with a machete.
| Day 6
Ep.2 RC/IC: Crossroads
Joe, Lauren sit out. Three people (JP, Ben, Ashley; Roark, Jessica, Cole; Ryan, Devon, Patrick) dive in, untie and move one of three bundles of puzzle pieces from an underwater cage. Devon collects all three Hustlers pieces, giving them a huge lead. When all three bundles are out and in their basket, they swim the basket to their platform, where two tribe members (Chrissy, Alan; Mike, Desi; Ali, Simone) assemble a crossroads puzzle. Winner gets a big fishing kit, second gets smaller one. Hustlers, Heroes first to 3 pieces, Healers last. But Mike and Desi breeze through the puzzle, and the Healers win! Heroes second.

Ep.3 RC/IC: Rock In a Hard Place
Mike sits out. Tribes must cross an under/over obstacle, then scale and descend a reverse net crawl obstacle, then knock 20 blocks off an arch by throwing sandbags. (Switching out is optional.) When all blocks are down, they must then stack the 20 blocks vertically. Heroes are first to the sandbags. Healers knock all their blocks off first, then Heroes. Patrick refuses to switch out for the Hustlers. Healers declare victory, but have forgetten a block. While they find and add it, the Heroes win immunity plus 4 chickens. The Healers take second, win immunity plus eggs. Hustlers lose yet again.

Ep.4 RC: Tangled Up
After tribes arrive for the challenge, Probst tells them to drop their buffs, and three new tribes of five are drawn: Yawa (red) has Ben, Lauren, Cole, Jessica, and Mike; Soko (yellow) has Chrissy, JP, Ryan, Ali, and Roark; Levu (blue) has Alan, Ashley, Desi, Joe, and Devon. For the challenge, three people (Ben, Cole, Lauren; Ryan, Roark, JP; Joe, Alan, Ashley) must untangle a twisted rope, including around obstacles. Alan/Ashley/Joe bring up the rear. One person (JP, Ben, Joe/Alan) then tosses the rope to hook a heavy sled containing pieces for a vertical puzzle. After hauling it, the remaining two people work the puzzle. Yawa leads (Mike, Jessica), then Soko (Chrissy, Ali). Yawa wins, before Levue even hooks their sled. They win a PB&J feast, no prize for second place.
As the Yawa tribe enjoys their peanut butter and jelly feast, they also have individual chip bags. Inside the one she randomly picks, Jessica finds a Secret Advantage. It's a vote blocking advantage, that must be used at that episode's Tribal Council. Jessica can block someone at Yawa from voting, or must play it on someone on the tribe attending Tribal, if Yawa is immune. She tells Cole and Mike, Cole promptly tells Ben and Lauren. Then the drama is for naught, as Jessica plays it on Devon.

| Day 11
Ep.4 IC: The Color and the Shape
Tribes must lift a heavy crate of puzzle pieces, maneuver it through a table obstacle, drag it under a net, then lift it onto a platform. While four people then untie the three pieces, another person (Lauren, Chrissy, Ashley) must unlock two locks, releasing the other three pieces. The first four must then assemble the large, six-piece puzzle in which intersecting colors must match. Yawa is first, Soko second to start puzzle. Yawa wins, Soko second. Levu last again.

Devon wins a pastry and coffee feast for Levu. Cole hits his fifth basket right as JP starts to shoot. Yawa gets a jug of iced coffee.

Then move all three balls to the top of the swiss cheese maze, one person each time, while standing on a balance beam. Maze workers: Ashley/Devon/Desi; Ben/Jessica/Cole; Chrissy hands off to Ali... There's also an idol clue printed on the plate below the spaghetti, which Cole, Chrissy, and Ryan see.
When the reward group returns to camp, Cole, Chrissy, and Ryan are all eying the tribe flag, where they know the idol is buried. Ryan waits until Cole leaves to pee, then races to the flag and digs up the idol, hiding it in his shorts. Chrissy comes over, and Ryan tells her to cover up the hole he left. Cole notices this, races over and starts digging, and pandemonium ensues. Ben accuses Cole of slipping the idol into his pants (he didn't).
