- Ep.1 opening scramble: Not really a "challenge" per se, but as the freshly divided tribes gather food items and palm fronds, Dino grabs a single-use immunity necklace, Renier grabs a "tribe advantage" that turns out to be camping gear.
- Ep.1 Reward hero challenge: (Fire making) - Chappies defeats Jason, wins a fire-making kit for Vuna. Each also receives a "diplomatic immunity" bracelet, allowing them to defect to the other tribe after a tribal IC loss.
- Ep.1 Immunity challenge: (Rope rungs, puzzle) - Zamba has a lead, blows it on the puzzle. Vuna exiles Thoriso.
- Ep.1 Immunity Island: (Digging in sand) - Thoriso takes the immunity necklace, fails to dig up a bag, loses her vote.
- Ep.1 voted out: Jason, 7-2 over Qieän.
Episode 1 scoring notes
- Challenge/non-challenge oddities: No scoring for the opening "challenge," nor for Thoriso's game at Immunity Island. The fire-making challenge is a hero challenge, since each tribe was only able to send one person to compete (counts as half an individual challenge for Chappies and Jason, nobody charged with a sit-out).
- Tribal council: Thoriso was present for Tribal Council, but was immune AND couldn't cast a vote. So she was both there and not there. So no TCA for her, and only 9 TotV.

- Challenge
stats
- ChW: Challenge Wins. For tribal challenges, a contestant earns a fraction of 1 win, depending on if they participated (no points for sitting out). So in a five-person tribe's win, each participant gets (1/5) of a point, or 0.2 points. Duels (or individual RCs as in Ep1) at Redemption Island count as half a challenge (and half a win). Individual challenge wins count as a full point.
- ChA: Challenge Appearances. Used to calculate ChW%. Fractional for tribal challenges (same as ChW), except sit-outs get charged for an appearance, because they could have participated.
- ChW%: Challenge Win%. Simply, ChW% = ChW / ChA.
- SO: The number of times a contestant sat out of a challenge.
