Episode 5: Standing on business in the back, party in the front

The second Tribal Council in Episode 5 of Survivor 51 was everything you want Survivor to be: dramatic, strategic, emotional, and a wild, brazen swing by two people who only barely trusted each other. It was also something unthinkable just two seasons ago. It's a relief to see the show finally starting to remember what works.

Episode 4: Please don't take me back to the old days

Just as the audience was getting comfortable with and excited about the two tribes format again, Survivor 51's Episode 4 yanked that away, and replaced it with the three tiny tribes the New Era was pretty sure you loved, you just didn't realize it.

Episode 3: The beauty of big tribes

Through three episodes, Survivor 51 has more than proved that the fans were right in begging for two starting tribes again. The farmers of chaos on Toka, which swelled to 11 people this episode, reaped a fun harvest from the unwieldy uncertainty of the numbers. Enjoy it while you can.
