just got some new information that leads me to believe
that Maya Driscoll doesn't die in the next episode.
Don't get me wrong Maya Driscoll does die soon but I now
have conflicting spoilers so I have to withdraw my spoiler
about Maya dying from an allergic reaction. The conflicting
spoiler has Maya slitting her wrists and it's not in this
particular episode. So Maya will still have the allergic
reaction in the next episode but it appears that she
ends up slitting her wrists a few hours later." |
"Jack and Audrey leave CTU and head off to the Felsted security
office. Felsted has the surveillance tapes from the charity event that Audrey
and the mystery terrorist attended a few months prior. At the Araz home Behrooz
calls Dina and informs her that he killed Tariq. Dina is fiercely loyal
to her
cause but she can’t stand back and watch Navi kill her son. She tells Behrooz
to go to a train station and to wait for her. Navi and Dina will get in a fierce
argument over the fate of Behrooz . Back at CTU, Marianne Taylor presses
Sarahfor information on Jack’s assignment and eventually Marianne
will get what she needs and relay the information to her handler. Right about
here the plot
comes to a screeching halt as we get to watch the writers try and humanize Erin
Driscoll. Driscoll goes to the clinic and speaks with her daughter, this will
be the last time that Erin will see her daughter alive. At his workstation Edgartries hacking into the terrorists network, but he realizes that if he makes a
mistake a massive nation-wide nuclear meltdown could be triggered, Heller knows
they are running out of time and he authorizes Edgar to do what‘s necessary.
At the security office Jack and Audrey meet with a tech and they start to analyze
the surveillance tapes. Back at CTU, Driscoll goes to check on Maya.
Erin looks
at Maya’s medical chart and she realizes that the Doctor gave Maya a drug
that she is allergic too. Driscoll runs to Maya’s bed only to find her
lifeless body.
In the video room Jack and Audrey continue to analyze
the tapes. We see Audrey on the tape and on the corner of the screen we see the
mystery man from the warehouse.
Jack tells the tech to make a copy. As Jack and Audrey embrace, Jack notices
that something is wrong. On the security screens we see two dead field ops agents.
The video room door opens and two gunmen appear. They open fire and hit the tech,
Jack fires back and kills them. Jack looks at the screen and sees more gunmen
arriving, he grabs the copy and leaves the video room. Jack needs backup but
he realizes that CTU has been compromised, he dials a number on his cel phone
and gives Audrey a gun and they try and find and exit. About a block away from
the train station Navi and Dina meet with other members of the cell. Navi gets
in their car and speeds away and Dina makes her way to the station. Behrooz approaches
the car but as he starts to get in Dina tells him to escape on the oncoming train.
Just then we hear a gunshot and Navi opens fire on Dina and Behrooz.
Dina is
hit. Behrooz hit’s the accelerator and they erratically speed off. Navi
and the other men get back into the car and chase after them. Back at the security
office Jack and Audrey make a daring escape attempt. They enter the garage level
of the building and Jack engages in a tense firefight with the gunmen. Jack kills
several of them but he runs out of ammo. Jack knows that he and Audrey are going
to be killed, then suddenly several shots ring out and the gunmen go down. Tony
Almeida appears out of nowhere and he escorts Jack and Audrey out of
the building."

- The Fox post-Ep4.6 promo shows the following references
to the meltdown scenario (vidcaps below, unlikely to all be sequential):
Jack (to Audrey?): "Jack: They can melt down every one of those plants." Habib
Marwan (on the phone, to Navi?): "The next two hours are crucial." Heller
(meeting at CTU): "You're gonna regain control of the reactors?" Edgar: "If
I take her in there and screw up, I could start a chain reaction."
- Speculation: It's not clear how Jack's field ops fit
into this plot line, but Edgar appears to have some computer-related plan
to thwart the terrorists' ability to use the override briefcase's contents.
Presumably working against this will be Marianne, as well as Driscoll's
distracting daughter, Maya.

- Maya is not in the cast list for the next
episode, so she's the leading candidate here, which is confirmed by the
detailed episode spoiler from the 24 Insider (see top of this page). Both
Sarah and Marianne appear safe for at least this episode.

- The Fox post-Ep4.6 promo shows Dina arriving in her
car, presumably to pick up Behrooz, but an unseen assailant fires through
the car window, hitting Dina. Behrooz jumps in the car with Dina, and they
drive off. FOX's description for Ep4.8 mentions "Dina
and Behrooz risk a stop at a medical clinic," suggesting this story
will play out over the next couple of episodes. What remains to be answered
is: who ordered the hit?

it with white walls with a blue stripe. Jack appears to be shooting everyone
(surprisingly), and gets shot back at. A security car gets hit, and on
the door is a logo containing the word "Felsted." 24
Insider confirms that this is a security firm, at which Jack and Audrey
are watching tapes of the event from which Audrey remembered seeing the
terrorist. Tony was not visible in any of the shots, but the shot appears
to be in
the same
place
(same
color
scheme,
anyway), which fits with the detailed episode spoiler from 24 Insider at
the top of the page.
