- Martin Holmes announces the cast has started heading to Samoa (September 13, 2024).
- Official SurvivorAU tweet (September 15, 2024) announces the theme, 2025 airdate, and the first six contestants, three AU (Shonee, George, Kirby) and three US (Cirie, Parvati, Tony).
- Martin Holmes at Inside Survivor completes the AU half of the cast (Sarah, David, Janine, Luke), adds Rob Bentele and Lisa Holmes (Stanger) to the world cast, and leaves placeholders for the two remaining World players - someone from Norwegian Survivor, and a final female player (September 24, 2024).
