Performance ranks are a quick visual measure of the contestant's season vs. historical data from all prior contestants, in three basic (scorable) categories:
1. Performance in individual challenges (MPF), as a measure of "physical game";
2. Ability to vote people out consistently (VFB%, or VFB/TCA), or "strategic game"; and
3. Ability to avoid being voted against (rVAP, or TCA-VAP) - which scales better than a percentage would - for "social/strategic game."

Official Ten Champions v. Contenders 2 bio excerpts (July 22, 2019):
"One of the world’s top male models, David has been a long-term Survivor fan but it was his friend and Season 2 player, Sarah Tilleke, who helped convince him to give it a go.
Going in with strategies in place, David is planning to play hard saying; “I want four strong players to line up with a goat each and then take them to the slaughter. BYO goat.”
He’s even willing to get up to some tricks saying; “I might try to make a fake Idol, pretend I’m not a fan of the show if I think it will get me further.”
Starting his career in modelling following a $50 bet back in 2002, David saw an ad for a modelling TV series and decided to apply and ended up winning.
Since then he’s appeared in magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair, photographed by the world’s most famous photographers and has also been the face of Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren and Mont Blanc.
Living in New York, David has three kids and a fourth in the form of his motorbike. A mad fan who once rode across the whole USA, he loves adventure and also studies jiu jitsu and muay Thai boxing."
Official Ten SurvivorAU: All Stars bio excerpts (February 3, 2020):
"The devious but much-loved Golden God returns for what he refers to as, “Revenge. Pure and simple.” Perth-bred and New York-based Supermodel, David is back on the beach and ready to take his game play to a new level even without his best mate Luke by his side. “I would love to see Luke on that first day, but he’s already done it twice. I’m going to need a new spy network to keep an eye out for me this time around,” he said.
He admits he was not happy walking out of Tribal Council last season with an Idol in his pocket so is going to be more wary this time around, especially when playing with All Stars. But in classic David style, he can’t help but joke about how he played last time saying; “I was the main hero of the season. I played honestly and with valour.”
Although not looking forward to eating more rice and living with no shelter, he is looking forward to what winning the game might mean to his family. “Winning would be amazing, it would help my family enormously. I’d put it toward my kid’s educations and hopefully a holiday so I can get back to Australia more often.” David is the father of three and lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Pearl and daughter Rei."
Official Ten AU: Australia v The World bio excerpts (2025):
"The Golden God and winner of Australian Survivor All Stars, David Genat is back for his third go at the game.
Affectionally known as DG, he returns to the game as the only winner on his tribe and knows the title will put a target on his back but is ready for the attack.
DG says, “I am in the driver's seat from this game on day one. There's nowhere for me to hide, they're all looking at the bus driver. The question is, can I dodge some of those shots when I'm not looking at them? How good am I? Am I like Neo in The Matrix?”
Hoping to be reunited with some of his favourite alliance friends, DG says, “I would love to see Luke out here, get the Dream Team back together. There was a magic that happened when we played together. I'd love to see if we can replicate that or try to take each other out. I consider him to be the best Australian Survivor player who hasn't won.”
After recently appearing on and winning Deal Or No Deal Island, he’s also hoping to join up with his alliance member on that show, US superstar player Parvati.
He says, “Parvati and I worked really well together on DONDI so I’d love to see her. I would love to see one of the Mount Rushmore – Parvati, Boston, Rob, Sandra or Tony out here. They're put up on this pedestal and you know, I got my spray can, I'm ready to do some graffiti on their faces. Maybe chip some of the noses off those statues.” "
