"For truck driver Caleb, life is currently about staring at the white lines of a highway as he works from dawn ‘til dusk.
A loveable larrakin with a passion for adventure, nature and animals, Caleb was born and raised in Melbourne, and is now living in South Gippsland.
“Redemption means everything. I'm here to show the world that I've got something to offer, that I'm not just Caleb who sits in a truck every day, that I can be the man of my dreams. I can.”
Leaving his pet python Bower at home, he’s hoping his resilience and go-getter attitude can take him far in the game.
“I've never been the strongest kind of guy. I've never been the fastest. I've never been the fittest. But yet I've always been able to do whatever I want to do. I've always been able to get myself all over the world.”
Admitting people may underestimate him as the tattooed guy with a rat’s tail, Caleb, 28, is on the search for something bigger. And passionate about unloved animals, if he wins, he intends to spend the money on an animal shelter for local injured wildlife.
“My whole life, I've loved putting myself out of my comfort zone. In any kind of situation, I feel like I work best when the chips are down, when I'm tired, when I'm knackered. I feel like I can pull energy out of nowhere.”"
