“I have a fire burning so fierce inside me that I know that I'm here for a higher purpose. I'm not here to float through life. I'm here to change the world.”
A former fitness instructor and gym owner, Blanche, 47, is now an acupuncturist and hopes to use her skills to make connections with her fellow competitors.
Raised on a farm in regional Victoria, Blanche fondly recalls an idyllic childhood with horses, cows and collecting tadpoles from the dam. At 15, the family moved to the Gold Coast, where she learned to surf, igniting a lifelong passion for the ocean.
A single mum to four daughters, Blanche admits she’s competitive with boundless energy and a passion for life. Determined to live her mantra to shine like a disco ball, she says she’s driven to show the world what she’s made of.
“My redemption story is the mum who had to start her whole entire life over at 40, and I can show all those mums out there that you can do it. You can go to Uni at 40. You can completely and utterly rewrite your story.”"
