Performance ranks are a quick visual measure of the contestant's season vs. historical data from all prior contestants, in three basic (scorable) categories:
1. Performance in individual challenges (MPF), as a measure of "physical game";
2. Ability to vote people out consistently (VFB%, or VFB/TCA), or "strategic game"; and
3. Ability to avoid being voted against (rVAP, or TCA-VAP) - which scales better than a percentage would - for "social/strategic game."

From her (and Laura's) pre-game interview with EW's Dalton Ross:
"The Survivor: Samoa contestant fesses up to being worried about Tyson and Colton in the game. But there is someone else she should be wary of — her own daughter! When asked if she would vote her mom out, Ciera does not hesitate: 'Definitely. We're definitely coming out here playing individual games. But my mom is my biggest asset in the game so if we can work together as far as we can, I think that will benefit both of us.' At least mom Laura is on the same page: 'We've already talked about no hurt feelings. We're gonna leave our game in the Philippines. It's done. We get it. We know it's a million dollars that we're playing for. Any hurt feelings, it's part of the game.'"
Excerpts from her (and Laura's) official CBS bio page:
"Personal Claim to Fame: Despite the fact that I got pregnant at 17, I am most proud of the fact that I finished high school, worked three jobs to support my daughter, and now I am happily married with two beautiful children.
If You Could Have 3 Things on The Island What Would They Be and Why? 1) Picture of my family - to remind me and brag to people 2) Bible – to encourage me and keep me strong 3) Journal or camera – to record my amazing adventure
Survivor Contestant You Are Most Like: Laura Morett because she taught me everything I know and also we have the same competitive nature.
Why You Think You’ll “Survive” Survivor: I am a little cute girl who gets along with everyone and lifts people’s moods on the surface, but in my mind, I am 10 steps ahead of you calculating your death in this game. I’ll tell you whatever it is you want to hear and lie to your face and you wouldn’t even see me coming because I’m so sweet and adorable."
From her CBS Survivor: Cambodia bio page (currently empty):
Excerpts from her official CBS Game Changers bio page:
"What are you most proud of from the last time? I’m very proud of not being timid and doing the season alone without the support of my mother, fearlessly.
What, if anything, do you most regret? I regret being complacent and getting too into the experience and adventure, and not staying focused.
How will you play differently this time? This time, I am taking the game more seriously and I want to be more focused, stay driven, and not become complacent."
