"Shawna Mitchell, a 23-year-old retail clothing saleswoman, grew up in Redwood City. A 1997 graduate of the Menlo School in Atherton, Mitchell graduated from the College of William and Mary. She has worked for R.E.I. in the Bay Area and recently moved to Los Angeles with her dog, Indiana. Her mother, Suzanne, still lives in Redwood City. 'She's a natural girl,' said show host Jeff Probst in an interview Monday at the Television Critics Association meeting in Hollywood. 'You could go on a road trip with her or you could go to the People's Choice awards. There's nothing put-on about her.'" "TV critics saw the first 20 minutes of the new ``Survivor'' series. After the teams were divided by gender, the members got into boats. Mitchell had trouble untying the line that secured her boat.
