This month, six months after we made fun of Matt Gallant, the painful-to-watch host of Animal Planet's "Planet's Funniest Animals," we got a curious flood of emails decrying our lack of sensitivity.  Some of the more polite ones are shown below.  We're not sure if this is coming from his family, or if these are the sole members of the Matt Gallant Fan Club, and they're takin' it to the streets.  Either way, here's what they said.  And if you have something to share, as always, you can contact us at:

So I am writing.  Yes, I do.  I like Matt Gallant of Animal Planet's Funniest
Animals.  He's just doing HIS job.  He doesn't write the stuff.  He's just
trying to make a living.  He seems like a nicer person than who writes the
stuff on your page.  I like the show and like him as host.  Hope he continues
for a long time.

"Matt Gallant"

I saw your site and I read the Most Annoying Person of 2000 and I was
wondering what made you pick Matt Gallant from the Planet's Funniest Animals
out of all the other celebs? Why do you dislike him so much? I think the show
is cute...it's just a dumb little show to make us laugh. I'm not bashing you
or anything, I was just curious.

"One more thing!"

One more thing about Matt Gallant hosting... I like his smile and I think
he's cute. Everyone has their own opinion and I hope that through things like
what you are doing, it doesn't get the show taken off the air or have them
change the host. Would you like it if it were happening to you? What do YOU
look like? Also, it's what's inside that counts, too. Matt seems nice and
isn't bashing anyone, where on the other hand, YOU ARE.

No, we are not family members are Matt. We are simply fans of Matt and his
work. I'm sure he works very hard and tries his best on the show. It's not
easy. Yes, you look like Bush and you seem just as stupid and rude. I read
what that man from England wrote. If he has no life other than to sit around
and judge people, well then he is also a rude, arrogant jerk. Add THIS to
your site!
