Samoa episode 11 detailed immunity challenge spoilers/
speculation |
From
the recap episode, it's clear that the IC this week is an endurance-based
challenge (below - nine people, necklace on a stake next to Probst).
The contestants stand on a board, while holding a rope that prevents
a reasonably heavy looking board from dropping onto the board
in front of them. Not much of a balance aspect to this one, looks
like straight endurance.
There is a question of how the "advantage"
item from the auction plays into this. Considering you're
either in or out, depending on how long you can hold the rope,
seems an awkward place to have an "advantage," unless you get
a second chance, or get to knock someone else out.
Update: As pointed out by
Sam
Buru at MeSS, the weekend vidcaps appear to reveal both the
winner of the "advantage" and what it involves. All the contestants
except Jaison are holding on to the extreme ends of their ropes
(below the final knots), while Jaison still has two knots left
in his rope below his hand. This suggests the advantage is higher
rope position, and Jaison bought it.

Jaison wins immunity? |
|
So who wins? Not clear yet. But there was a
shot in the recap of Russell at tribal council, seated next to
an immunity necklace-wearing Jaison. There's no indication it's
necessarily from this episode, but with nothing more to go on,
seems as good a guess as any that Jaison wins this
week's IC. And this is also consistent with his apparent
challenge advantage.
