Fiji episode
2 detailed Exile spoilers/ speculation |
Someone
is getting exiled, but don't worry, you won't have to roll
your eyes through more footage of forlorn castaways filling
their time by fruitlessly digging up the island. Now they'll
just sit around doing nothing, apart from reading clues about
where they could be looking if they weren't exiled. How's
that for progress?
Still, Probst swears that the hidden idols
actually get played this season, so maybe those clues do
actually turn out to be useful for something.
Who is the lucky person who gets to read
the clues this episode? Some hints from Jeff Probst's pre-Ep1
media teleconference: "There's one difference
to Exile Island in that it does have literally
thousands of deadly sea snakes and you see that
play out in episode 2 when the person on
Exile has a run in with a snake. It's
very clear that they exist and are a problem."
The post-Ep1 preview of this
week's episode did show Earl hacking
a snake's head off with a machete (above). And
as Flowerpower notes at Blows, there's a ladder
in the background, which ought to be missing from
Ravu's newly minimalist camp. And since Ravu appears
to lose the RC/IC, it seems likely that one of
Earl, Mookie or James would be Moto's choice for
the exile (assuming the winner gets to choose).
So yes, Earl seems like a good guess for this week's
exile.
Alternatively, it could just
be Sylvia, since she could potentially be there
for close to 70% of the episode. Or perhaps not,
since as VolcanicGlass points
out, Sylvia returns to Ravu on Day 4. So Earl seems
much more likely to be the snake-confronting exilee,
then.
