August 23, 2006: Officially revealed as a Survivor:
Cook Islands contestant on CBS's The Early Show.
From her official CBS bio:
"Born and raised in Arequipa, Peru,
Cecilia Mansilla moved to the San Francisco area when she was
15 years old and learned English when she was 16 years old.
She secured college scholarships to all the schools where she
applied and ultimately received her Bachelor's Degree in international
relations with a double minor in Japanese and Spanish literature
from the University of California, Davis.
 Mansilla
currently works as a technology risk consultant for a professional
services firm in San Francisco. She has previously worked
as a management consultant.
Mansilla's hobbies include black
and white photography, dancing and working out regularly.
Her heroes are her parents for having sacrificed a comfortable
life in Peru to allow their children greater opportunities
in the U.S. She hopes to become involved in charities for
real life survivors and would like to mentor young girls
on pursuing higher education and career goals.
Mansilla
currently resides in Oakland, California. Her birth date
is January 13, 1977."

August 9, 2006: New Sucks poster yoyoBecky registers to tell about a coworker who may be a contestant:
- "Hmmm, I've never been much into survivor, but
a few people I work with are diehard fans. It just hit us that
a coworker of ours has been gone for 2 months, same timeframe
as you all say filming occurred. She just got back a few days
ago. She had some weird story about doing volunteer work in
the cooks, but it doesnt add up.
Thought I might post about it, maybe someone
has some more information. She is a
tall dark haired girl from Peru. I don't know her that well,
just that she's a smart girl and can be pretty tough, at
least here in the office. Her name is cecilia. I'll
try to find a pic to post"
- "cecilia works w/me at a San Francisco Big 4 Firm. She
left the last week of june saying she needed a leave of absence.
She came back Monday w/a nice tan. She was wearing a skirt
and her legs looked a bit scraped up, I guess from her "volunteer
work." Sounds like survivor to me!!"
- "my coworker says she's 29."
