August 20 , 2007: Jeff Probst's comments
(made sometime during the game), as told to Ileane Rudolph
of TV Guide, in their barely pre-cast reveal article:
"Jeff's take: Dave is crazy. To his credit,
he's a workaholic but sometimes to a fault. He fully embraces
The Art of War from a strategic point of view — like,
how to work with his tribe. Dave jumps
out in the first few days and he's a delight to watch in his
zaniness. You'll remember Dave for sure."

August 20, 2007: Officially revealed as a Survivor:
China contestant by CBS, as the cast is unceremoniously
dumped onto the CBS web site. From his official
CBS bio:
 "Dave
Cruser is currently a bartender. He has previously worked
in construction, advertising and as a model/actor, having
lived in South Africa for an extended period of time. He
has also spent time in Paris, Milan, Munich, Zurich and
Hamburg. He attended one year of college at Moorpark Community
College and one quarter at ITT studying computer drafting.
Cruser's hobbies include studying industrial
design, snowboarding, hiking, bodysurfing, riding his
motorcycle and frisbee golf. Cruser describes himself
as creative, funny and hard-working. He believes he'll
do well because he loves to camp and considers himself
to be a motivator and team player.
Cruser currently resides in Simi Valley,
California. His birth date is October 26, 1969."

"We should get the confirmations out of the way first.
Yes indeed, we WILL be seeing 'Action Bob' on Survivor:
China.
Question is...will he be able to bluff his way through the
game?"

June 22, 2007: Someone named "Tracey" posts
the following at the blog, DadGoneMad.com
"This past Saturday, after my husband and I closed
our restaurant, we went to a nearby bar for a quick drink.
This very young man (twenty-three) sits down next to me and
within 2 minutes I find out he lives in Simi Valley and within
4 minutes he tells me that one of his roommates is Dave Cruser
(he graduated SVHS in 1987) - water polo Dave Cruser!
Dave is currently in China competing for Survivor:China. Watch
for him.
I thought
it was strange, but I'm strange, so maybe it's not that strange
and only I think it's strange. Right?"

in a post (7/30) at Survivor

" I'm 99.999% sure I finally ended our search for a picture
of our good friend Dave Cruser. We're all going to really
kick ourselves for not finding this (frankly I'm not
sure how it didn't turn up in a google search.)
The reason I'm so positive it's him is because the website
is called lamodels.com hahaha."
Dave has an extensive portfolio of modeling shots at LAModels.com.
The relevant info, as far as the modeling agency is concerned:
"Height: 6' 2" Shirt: 16 - 34 Waist: 33 - 34 Inseam: 34 Suit:
